Striking the balance between rest and recreation, Kangaroo Island Cabins is your ticket to sample some of South Australia’s premier beaches, artisan delights, and wildlife watching.
On this private, 20-acre property, you’ll find 10 self-contained cabins in one- and two-bedroom varieties, plus there is a free on-site laundry for all guests to use with washing machines and a clothesline. Families and groups (maximum occupancy 10 guests) can also book Sunny Side House - a holiday home with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, laundry, reverse cycle air conditioning, and a large, roofed balcony. The park is set back from the main road, only adding to the tranquil ambience that the local wildlife loves just as much as the guests do. It’s not uncommon to spot wallabies, echidnas, birds, and kangaroos on the property throughout your stay.
The location is a huge plus. Your cabin is minutes from the seafront, jetty, main street, and the Kingscote Tidal Pool. In Kingscote – the biggest town on the island – you have easy access to cafés, galleries, a supermarket, and other shops within a five-minute drive. The Kingscote Farmers & Artisan Market pops up on the Kingscote Wharf lawn throughout the year, ideal for sampling local produce and delicacies.
Island Beehive is right around the corner from the park. Emu Bay Lavender Farm is just 15 minutes north. Bay of Shoals Wines is also nearby to spend a day wining and dining with a view, as is Kangaroo Island Brewery. Then, when it’s time to explore beyond Kingscote, the drive to Vivonne Bay and Little Sahara only takes 40 minutes, and it’s one hour to Flinders Chase National Park.
For the ultimate peace and quiet, make Kangaroo Island Cabins your accommodation pick on your next trip to this South Aussie wonder.
