Immerse yourself in the spectacular Flinders Ranges at Hawker Caravan Park.
There are flat, shady sites for every kind of camper to enjoy the rural environment, from setting up a swag or tent on an unpowered site to rolling up your caravan or motorhome onto a powered site. Ensuite sites are also available. The park has a range of self-contained cabins in two- to six-berth arrangements, each with a kitchenette, ensuite, TV, and air conditioning. There is also a three-bedroom cottage, ideal for families or larger groups, with an open plan kitchen and living area, laundry, TV, air conditioning, BBQ and campfire area, and undercover parking. If your pup is coming along for the holiday, all sites are pet-friendly, and there are select cabins approved for four-legged friends.
On hot days, it’s easy to cool off after your outback adventures by diving into the swimming pool, while children can hang out on the playground. Travellers love the friendly, laid-back atmosphere around the park, from chats beside the campfire to cooking up meals in the BBQ area and camp kitchen. Handy facilities include spotless amenities blocks, a laundry, dump point, free Wi-Fi, and gas refills.
Beyond the park, there’s so much to explore in the Flinders Ranges, from bushwalking and mountain biking tracks to ancient geological sites dating back millions of years. 4WD drivers will be spoilt for choice with the range of rocky roads in the region, while scenic flights – especially at sunset hour – are an amazing way to appreciate the vast landscape. Around Hawker, you’ll also find a nine-hole public golf course, lookout points, and the historic Kanyaka Station ruins.
