Byron Bay is famous for its surf beaches, eclectic and alternative atmosphere, and spectacular scenery. As a popular tourist location, it is filled with things to do and places to explore, so when visiting, your first port of call should be Discovery Parks – Byron Bay. All visitors are welcome, no matter the size of group or the type of holiday you’re after. You can settle in, then head off to discover all of the fun that the town and surrounding area has to offer.
There are all kinds of different accommodation choices at Discovery Parks – Byron Bay. If you are looking for cabin accommodation, there are a range of cabins to suit every budget. The Deluxe cabins, available for families or groups of 6 or 4, or even for couples, are modern, spacious and fitted with well-appointed kitchens, comfortable beds and large, private bathrooms. If you’re after that little bit of extra luxury, you can opt for the Superior Lakeside cabin, where you can step out on to the balcony and look directly over the lake in front of you.
For the more budget conscious, there are plenty of Budget cabins onsite in various sizes, or if you’ve arrived in a large group or family, the huge Standard 3 bedroom house sleeps up to 8 people and is just like being in a home away from home.
For a unique camping experience, try one of the Deluxe Safari tents. Looking like a tent on the outside, but feeling like a luxury cabin on the inside, they are perfect for a romantic weekend or, choose a larger tent for a fun group holiday or family adventure.
Discovery Parks – Byron Bay also has plenty of space for your tent or caravan, with unpowered sites available in three sizes, perfect for everyone from the solo traveller with their one-person tent through to the large family settling in for a week away. There are also powered sites for the caravan, some with hard standing for your convenience.
While you’re staying at Discovery Parks – Byron Bay, all guests are welcome to make use of the many facilities available onsite. The kids can get their energy out on the bouncing pillow, playground or tennis court, or when the sun is shining, they will spend hours in the ozone filtered swimming pool and adjoining waterpark. There are also pedal carts for hire from the Discovery Parks – Byron Bay Office.
Naturally, when you’re visiting Byron Bay, you can’t miss the famous surfing beaches, not to mention the galleries and craft shops, cafes and restaurants for which the town is renowned. Nature lovers will also enjoy visiting the lush hinterland or marvelling at the dolphins and whales frequently spotted off of the many beaches in the area.
Returning to park after a busy day will mean you can put your feet up and watch the sunset as you laugh about the days’ adventures and prepare for the next at Discovery Parks – Byron Bay.

Campfires are not permitted at this park from 1 September 2026 - 31 March 2027.
Outside of these times, our Park Manager will monitor local conditions and may under their discretion ban campfires due to the current risk at that time.
You may also check with the park team when you arrive if campfires are permitted or banned during your stay.
