Discovery Parks – Ballina is ideal if you’ve arrived with your caravan or tent. You can choose from a range of spacious sites, including ensuite sites and those with unobstructed waterfront views. There are even sites available which are dog-friendly, so your four legged family members can enjoy the holiday as much as you will.

If you prefer the convenience of onsite cabin accommodation, there are a large range of cabins to choose from. For a small group or couple, the Economy Studio cabin is ideal. For a family, you can choose from the Standard or Superior two-bedroom cabins, both of which sleep 4 people. Or for larger groups, there are a choice of cabins offering 5 to 7 berths, some even with waterfront views. All of the available cabins include modern fittings, air-conditioning and private bathrooms, and all have a cosy balcony for you to sit out on of an evening and enjoy a drink under the stars.

There is plenty onsite to keep all of the family busy, including a bouncing pillow, crystal clear swimming pool and onsite playground. The kids will also love having a round of mini-golf or playing video-games in the activity room. Discovery Parks – Ballina also has gym facilities so you don’t have to miss your daily workout.

The park is situated right on the Richmond River, with well maintained riverside paths for cycling, walking and jogging. You can also take a river cruise to enjoy the scenery in style. After you’ve enjoyed the water, you can head into the town centre for craft shops and markets as well as to sample the fabulous seafood, especially the prawns, for which the town is famous. Don’t forget to visit the Big Prawn as you do so! For history lovers, the Naval Museum is a must-see, where you can find out about Australian naval history and explore the historic ships housed there.

Outside of these times, our Park Manager will monitor local conditions and may under their discretion ban campfires due to the current risk at that time.
